Coupon Queen is the nickname given to Holly Smith as she is an expert at saving £1000s using coupons and other discounts. As the Coupon Queen, she not only saves herself a great deal of money she is also known for sharing money-saving tips and also money-saving techniques by the astute use of coupons and other discounts.  Holly finds and uses money-saving coupons from supermarkets as well as for other retailers. So follow these tips and see how much money you can save.

Here are some of her favourite ways to achieve discounts and to receive coupons…

Get coupons by writing to companies…

Holly has found that companies are always interested to read letters or emails from customers or members of the public. She has found that the majority of businesses still have Freepost addresses, which you can send cards, letters and photos too.  Instead of complaining write to let businesses know what you use their products to do, for instance, to bake a cake with. When companies like what is sent to them, they tend to show their appreciation with either coupons or vouchers.

It pays to be polite…

Holly states that she is always polite to the businesses and stores she contacts.  Customer service teams tend to get used to people being rude towards them, so it makes a nice change to receive polite cards, emails, or letters from the public. It is only natural that they would should more goodwill to people who are polite than to people who are rude. Furthermore, they like to hear, read or see how their products have a positive impact on you and your family.

Tell companies something new…

Companies are used to complaints, and sometimes even compliments so tell them something new or different. For instance, take photos of you using their goods in a recipe, or wearing their clothes for a special event. If the image presents them in a positive way they might even ask you if they can use it to promote themselves or mention in magazines or newsletters. Supermarkets, in particular, are often keen to receive customer comments and feedback. Therefore give them what they are after and wait for the coupons and vouchers to come your way.

Send cards to companies…

Holly recommends sending cards to companies, at Christmas, birthdays, or even for when companies are celebrating anniversaries. Greetings cards can be brought cheaply enough and cost nothing to send when posted to the Freepost address. Companies are often grateful for such cards and will send vouchers, free samples and even enough free stock for a year or two.

Look out for offers…

Holly will often spend hours looking for the best discount and coupons, do the same and take up offers as soon as these are seen. Take advantage of stores getting rid of old or excess stock for a fraction of the full price. If you are unable to find offers or have used all the online coupons, go to local stores and ask managers what the best offers are now, and when the next set of offers will be available.

Prepare to stockpile the freebies or discounted goods…

Holly suggests that people will need extra storage once they begin to make the most out of freebies, coupons and vouchers. An extra freezer is something that would definitely be helpful.
